Who We Are

Habitat for Humanity of Denton County is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God's love into action by building homes, communities and hope. Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating, and preserving homes; by advocacy for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman, and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.

Where We Build

Habitat for Humanity of Denton County, (HFHDC), services the entire Denton County area. This is approximately 900 square miles, with a population of 806,180 residents. Out of these residents, 66,106 live in poverty.

HFHDC is the only non-profit in the area that provides a permanent solution to families living in low-income housing. We cannot build homes without the support of the community. To find out how you can become involved, and see our past and current builds, click below.
